Officer’s present: Ginny Ciriot, Erin Ciriot, Mesha Williams, Eric Daughtry, Buffy Moreno, David Jones, Richard Thompson, Anna Martinez, Carey Casey

 

Call to order: 6:37 p.m.

 

Approval of minutes: Motion to accept made, seconded and carried

 

Field Status Report: Kit and Alex are working together to water alternate stations on alternate days.  Seed has been put down on several fields and Kit will fertilize sometime around the 15th of August.

 

Unfinished business:

Concessions: Mr. and Mrs. Epps will continue to run the concession stand this season.  They are offering team snacks to be paid for in advance, a handout will be provided to the coaches explaining the details.

Academy Sports: Ginny and Will met with the manager of Academy.  She has stated that she is very excited about getting involved in the community and youth associations and try to assist them.  Ginny and Will walked around and made a list of useful items.  The manager will then take the information to corporate headquarters in Houston and present everything.

Computer modems: They have been received.

Electrical: Ginny sent an email to Mr. Hirth who had spoken with David and said everything sounded great, however, we have not heard back from him as of yet.  The city has to sign off on allowing CISA to tap into their electrical.

Tournament: Ginny, Buffy and Ollie met with Robin of Fort Worth Youth Soccer Assoc. and she was extremely helpful in giving ideas as to how to run things smoothly.  Ollie has since taken this information and kind of timelined it.  Burleson is very interested in running a tournament with Crowley.

AGM: Several board members went and attended clinics.  A vote taken at the AGM concerning amount of players on the field for U8 and U10.  The decision on whether or not to change the amount of players from 6v6 to 7v7.

TOC date: The TOC will be held on October 14.  U9 and up will not play any metroplex games that weekend.

Advertising: Kelly Ortiz is working on a slogan for the association.  She is also currently pricing banners and their longevity.

Players/Coaching clinics: Fort Worth United will hold a coaches clinic at our fields Friday August 18 @ 6:30.  Fort Worth Football Club will hold a skills clinic on August 25 for U10 and under.  On August 26 for U11 and up.

Preseason scrimmages: The association would like to offer all teams free scrimmages in exchange for people helping to get the fields ready for the season

Playing rules: The following purposed playing rule changes were voted on and passed.

Playing rules: Section 7.1.4 change is as follows: No uniform will be issued to a player unless the association has received his/her birth certificate, all fees have been paid (unless a payment agreement was made by the Registrar), and/or returned checks have been cleared and paid.

Section 7.1.5.  Returning players that have not registered by the last published registration date give up their right to remain on the same team.

Section 7.3.1.  Teams within the same age group will have balanced rosters, within 1-2 players.  An exception to this will be if a team has a larger number than the rest due to returning players.

Section 7.3.3.  The under 10 age group will have a maximum of twelve (12) and a minimum of eight (8) players.  The number on the field during a game will be six (6), one of whom is the goalkeeper, unless the Metroplex Soccer Alliance (of which CISA is a member) plays 7v7, with one of one of whom is a goalkeeper.

2.        Maximum number of players on the roster should not exceed – Nine (9) for 5 verses 5 and ten (10) for 6 verses 6.

1.       Maximum number of players on the field at any one time is six (6), unless the Metroplex Soccer Alliance plays 7 verses 7.  One of whom shall be the goalkeeper.

2.       Maximum number of players on the roster should not exceed twelve (12).

 

Section 21             CISA FIELD RULES

21.1     Items prohibited from the CISA complex.

21.1.1         Use of any tobacco product in the soccer complex or any soccer field under CISA control is prohibited.  Smoking will only be permitted in the parking areas.

21.1.4         No dogs or animals are allowed in the complex or any soccer field.

 

Officer’s/ Director’s Reports

                VP: not present

                Treasurer: There is currently $55,000 in checking.

                Registrar: As of 8/1/06 there were 561 recreational players. 

                Fundraiser: not present. 

                Equipment: The design on the uniforms has changed.  The association stayed with SCORE, however, we changed to the Peru design.

                                U6: Off to a good start

                                U8: Still short 4 coaches

                                U10: no report

                                ML: There are 17 teams, five of which play in Arlington.

                Referee Assignor: Class for Grade 8 was held, all passed.  There will be a referee meeting on August 14 at 7 p.m., location Pappy’s pizza.

                Property manager: not present.

 

New Business:

                Coach’s meeting: Tuesday August 15 for U5 – U8.  Thursday August 17 for U10 and above.

Bicycle race: There will be a bicycle race going on Saturday September 9.  This race usually begins at the high school and there will be cyclist on the road leading to the complex, please take caution when going to the fields.
