MINUTES OF THE CISA BOARD

CROWLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFICE

August 2th, 2004

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m.

 

Officers Present:  David Jones, Alex Macias, Traci Lee, Ginny Ciriot, Becky Livingston, Marty Stringer, Rhett Quade,  and Linda Retterer.

 

Motion to approve last months minutes approved with spelling correction, seconded and carried. 

 

Visitors:

George Butler presented his bid for the field maintenance.

 

Steve Beck made a request for his team to be registered as a Tournament team, and not to play Metroplex games.  With his current roster he does not have enough players, so he is requesting to move 2 other children from their teams to his team.  After discussion, no motion was made.

 

Vice President:  Nothing to report.

 

Treasurer:  We have a checking account balance of $14,257.87.

 

U6 Commissioner:  Getting trophies together for the Toties.  The uniforms for 16 teams of 7 kids have already been ordered.

 

U8 Commissioner:  Contacting all coaches for to get the returning coaches.

 

Registration:  About 40 kids signed up on the first day, and we will need volunteers for the remaining registration dates.  The flyers will be in the 10 elementary schools.  The last registration date will be August 21st.  August 22 will be the commissioners meeting to get ready for the draft.  The 29th is the Metroplex meeting.

 

Fund Raiser: The packets will be ready for the coaches at the draft.  The sale will begin on August 23rd and will end September 17th.  We will use the cumulative prizes provided by the company.  Need to get the past break down for the pizza parties.

 

Equipment:  Need samples of the uniforms for the registration dates.

 

Referee Assignor:  Grade 8 referee clinic is setup for 6pm to 10pm on Friday, 8am to 4pm on Saturday, and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.  The Grade 9 clinic will be 6pm to 10pm on Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday.  Motion to pay for the pizza for the referee meeting on August 18th, seconded and carried.

 

Fields:  Due to all of the rain in June the field maintenance was not able to be done.  We will look at getting it done at the end of this season.

 

New Business:

 

Field Maintenance

Motion to extend the vote for the field maintenance until August 22nd, seconded and carried.

 

Budget

Motion to accept the budget with the 2 changes, seconded and carried.

 

Metroplex Meeting

U9 we will play against Burleson, U10 and above we stay the same, and U8 and below will play in house.  U8 girls may need to play Burleson depending on the numbers after registration.

 

Property Damage

Someone broke into the concession stand and also tried to get into the lawnmower shed.  There was minor damage since the concession stand was empty while in between seasons.

 

Motion to adjourn made at 10:27pm.

 

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 7th.
