Officer’s present: Ginny Ciriot, Anna Martinez, Eric Daughtry, Kim Longenbaugh, Mesha Williams, Buffy Moreno, Carey Casey.  Guest: Jerry Cross.

 

Call to order: 7:36 PM

 

Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Kim, seconded and carried.

 

Field status report: Kit was present at the meeting and reported that nothing has been done to the fields on the city side.  Rhett is to follow up with the city about dirt.  Seed is still needed, approximately 20 bags.  Motion made to seed the fields and mulch to be laid around the concession stand.  Seconded and carried.

 

Unfinished business:

                Computers: The computers have been received and the updated software has been installed.  Modem cards are still needed for both.

                Electrical: Ginny will be speaking with city councilman Jim Hirth about CISA tying into the electric from the new water tower.

                BISA tournament: Ginny has not yet spoken with the Burleson association about running a tournament for U10 and under.  Ollie has put together some information for a tournament.

                AGM: The AGM will be held on July 14,15 and 16.  Detailed schedule of events to be sent out via North Texas Soccer Association.  North Texas will be voting on a by-law change.  The change is, player must play recreational if you play academy.

                Playing rules: If any changes are made they must be given to the coaches prior to the start of the season. 

                Concessions: Mr. & Mrs. Epps will continue running the concession stand.  Kudos for the wonderful job they are doing.

                Set meeting time/day: Motion made to change monthly board meetings to the second Wednesday of each month.  Day change will begin in September.  Seconded and carried.  Motion made to change the time of meeting from 7:30pm to 6:30pm, seconded and carried.

                Pre-season coaches meeting: Tuesday July 11, 2006.

 

Officer’s/Director’s reports:

                VP: not present

                Treasurer: No report.  Anna still needs to review everything.

                Fundraiser: not present

                Equipment: not present.  Motion made to pick Peru style uniform, seconded and carried.

                Commissioner’s:

                                U6: not present

                                U8: coach’s list needed

                                U10: no report

                                ML: Couple of coaches still needed

                Referee assignor: not present.  Referee class for Grade 8 is July 28,29 and 30.  Recertification’s are needed.

                Property manager: not present.  2 sets of goals for large fields needed and one set for the U10 field is needed.

 

New business:

                Academy Sports: The retailer would like to have a meeting to see what they can do for the association.

                TOC: Will to set date.

                Advertising: Kelly Ortiz is working on an advertising project.

                Player/coach clinic: Fort Worth United will be holding a coach’s clinic.  The Fort Worth Football Club will be holding a skill clinic.

 

Announcements: Robert Johnson is starting an independent U9 boys academy team.
