MINUTES OF THE CISA BOARD
ALL SPORTS COMPLEX MEETING ROOM
APRIL 3, 2005
Officers Present: David Jones, Alex Macias, Kim Longenbaugh, Kelly Ortiz, Pam Richardson, Micky Bell, Ginny Ciriot (not officially a quorum)
VP: not present
Treasurer: Currently have approximately $19,000 in
checking. We still owe on part of the fundraiser,
registration to
U6 Commissioner: All games played to date. Have not had any concerns voiced.
U8 Commissioner: going well
U10 Commissioner: no report
Major League: obtained a new coach for a team. One player was transferred to a different team. Uniform ordered.
Registrar: not present. Picture dates look to be 4/18, 4/19, & 4/21. Awaiting location confirmation before letting coaches know about signing up
Fundraiser: Will be set up to collect on Saturday 4/16 and also at picture night. Some have turned in already. Have contact Tim with concessions to see if he will purchase some of the leftover candy.
Equipment: All ordered uniforms are in. Have a few outstanding issues. Is developing a better system or ordering for next fall. We are investigating different vendors.
Referee Assignor: not present
Fields: open position. Bids are being received for the next year of field maintenance.
Miscellaneous:
Open Positions: The following positions will be voted on at the next meeting: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, Fields, U6, U8, & major league commissioners. Job descriptions are posted on the web site. If your position is up for election, please get Traci your job description.
Appreciation: 1) A question was posed as to whether or not a coach or board member could receive a reduced registration fee for their child. Due to our non profit status, that could be seen as payment for services. 2). Another idea was brought up about giving new coaches some equipment (balls, cones, etc). This may encourage more volunteering. 3) Annual coaches/referee appreciation party will be held Sunday, May 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the fields. Ginny, Pam, Micky, Becky and Kelly will coordinate.
Trophies: a reminder that the U6 and U8 commissioners need to verify numbers of players with Ed for trophies.
Bicycle race: Is there an upcoming race that would impact
access to our fields? Ginny will contact
Parent survey: Ginny brought a draft of a survey that she would like to see given to parents at picture night.
Potential expansion: Ginny has asked Robert Rambo to investigate land around the complex or elsewhere for future growth.
AGM: The annual general meeting will be in July on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Saturday will have small group meetings and different vendors. It is recommended for as many of the board that can attend on Saturday to do so. Only 2 can attend the Sunday meeting.
