MINUTES OF THE CISA BOARD

CROWLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFICE

November 1st, 2004

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m.

 

Officers Present:  David Jones, Kim Longenbaugh, Becky Livingston, Kelly Ortiz, Traci Lee, Rhett Quade, Ginny Ciriot, and Alex Macias.

 

President:  Fields and Equipment are still open.  If you have any one to recommend please let David Jones know.

 

Vice President:  TOC- Roster need to be turned into North Texas for the wining teams.  There will be a mandatory coaches meeting Friday night Dec. 3rd. 

 

Sealed bids for the fields maintenance will go need to go to Alex Macias.  The meeting to discuss the bid will be Dec. 17th, and the bids will need to be turned into Alex by Jan. 5th.

 

Motion to approach local colleges to see if their marketing students can develop a sponsorship for CISA, seconded and carried

 

Treasurer:  The balance in checking is $30,830.

 

U6 Commissioner:  All games are on schedule, and this Saturday is the last weekend.

 

U8 Commissioner:  There are 2 weeks left for the U8 kids.

 

U10 Commissioner:  Nothing to report.

 

Major League:  Nothing to report

 

Registration:  We made $2,100 profit on picture phones.  The flyers will be given to the schools to be passed out to the kids for the spring season.

 

Fund Raiser:  All cookie dough is handed out, and coaches that that have any order issues need to turn them into Becky not the individual parents.  We will be checking with the new restaurants in Crowley to find out about any deals for the coaches to be able to hold their team parties.

 

Equipment:  Need to order flags and anchors for the goals.

 

Referee Assignor:   The TOC referee cost was around $1,500.  There will be a grade 8 and grade 9 clinic in Dec.  Contact Marty Stringer for information.

 

Fields:  The plumber will be coming out to look at fixing the leaks in the sprinkler system.

 

New Business:

There are some U10 coaches that have mentioned their interest in the new Soccer Academy.  We are looking into the clinics for the coaches and the kids to help build the kids, starting at U6.

 

Motion to allow one signature on checks in the amount of $300 and below, and require 2 signatures on checks above $300, seconded and carried.

 

We have some coaches expressing interest in holding a spring tournament for all ages similar to the TOC. It would cost around $70, and we could invite other associations.

 

Motion to remove the current U10 commissioner, due to lack of participation, seconded and carried.
