Officer’s present: Ginny Ciriot, Kim Longenbaugh, Carey Casey, Richard Thompson, Carolyn Payne, Will Epps, Anna Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Eric Daughtry

Guest: Jerry Cross

 

Call to order: 6:43 PM

 

Approval of minutes: Motion made to accept minutes with amendments seconded and carried.

 

Field status report: Rye grass to be spread October 16.

 

Unfinished business:

                Computers: The treasurer’s computer has not fixed as of yet.

                Electric: No word from Rhett yet.  Ginny looking into other options.

                Advertising: On hold for the time being.

 

Officer’s/Director’s reports:

VP: Two yellow cards have been given in the U7 & U10 age group.  Other than that there have been no major discipline issues.

                Treasurer: Currently there is $60,000 in checking.

Registrar: Not present.  There are currently 617 recreational players, 36 academy players, and 66 coaches.  This is our highest fall registration.

                Fundraiser: Fundraiser items will come in October 20.

                Equipment: Not present, no report.

                Commissioner’s:

                                U6: Games are almost caught up.

                                U8: No report

                                U10: 4 rainouts need to be rescheduled

ML: Games almost caught up.   Coaches are doing a really good job on turning in game sheets.

                Referee assignor: Not present.  Referee assessors should be here for the TOC.

                Property manager: Not present.

 

New Business:    

City contract: Ginny had a meeting with the city manager with positive results, but was asked to take concerns to the Parks board.  Rhett and Ginny attended the meeting and presented our concerns and data.  They were receptive, but asked that we meet with the other 2 organizations as anything done for us, must be done for all.  They expressed concern over the budget to covering anything like mowing.  Discussed would see if the there could be a phase in plan.

Announcements: There will be 7 board positions coming up for election in the spring at the AGM.
